Source-supplied bottle description

The second wine of Grand-Puy-Lacoste, and in 2016 it shows just how good a 'second' can be. The palate is supple and generous, brimming with ripe cassis, dark cherry, and hints of tobacco, all framed by polished tannins and a fine freshness that carries through to the finish. Grand-Puy-Lacoste is one of Pauillac’s great classed growths, a Fifth Growth that routinely overdelivers. The estate has been in the Borie family since the 1970s, who have invested heavily in both vineyard and cellar to produce wines of precision, balance, and classic Médoc character. Lacoste-Borie is crafted with the same care as the grand vin, offering an earlier-drinking expression of this hallowed terroir.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
