Wafting from the glass with a complex, vibrant bouquet of violet, iris, dark berries, peony and spring flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, sappy and rich, perfectly balanced with a fleshy core of fruit, filigreed tannins and a long, ethereal and mouthwatering finish. This blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot can age gracefully over the next decade. Kudos! The 2022 Château La Brande is brilliant, offering a deep purple hue, classic aromatics of black cherries, mulberries, sappy herbs, and graphite, medium to full body, and ripe, building, beautifully polished tannins. Coming from the team of Thomas Duclos and based on 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, it's the finest vintage of this cuvée I've tasted. This has a vivid nose of blue and dark berries, orange peel, spices and wet stones. Dry and minerally, it has firm tannins and juicy acidity on a medium-bodied and structured palate.
