Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, founded in the 16th century, is one of the great historic estates of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Acquired in 2010 by the Pichet property group, the château has become one of the region's most prestigious crus thanks to its unique terroir and modern vision of wine. Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion 2022 is a Pessac-Léognan wine from a 30.75-hectare vineyard, 7.60 hectares of which are dedicated to fine wine. The vines, which are almost 40 years old, are planted on Mindel gravel on a clay-limestone subsoil. The grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously sorted. The grapes are vinified whole. The wine is aged in new barrels, new tuns and amphoras. The nose offers an explosion of aromas of black fruits, violets and light woody and spicy notes. The palate is rich and complex. It combines a velvety texture with elegant freshness, fine tannins and a long, spicy finish.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
