Source-supplied bottle description

Born of a year of controlled drought and ideal coolness, Smith Haut Lafitte red 2010 embodies the excellence of a great Graves terroir. The slow ripening of the grapes allowed for exceptional concentration while preserving remarkable freshness. Dense and deep, almost black, the wine reveals an intense nose of black fruits, liquorice and spices, followed by a full-bodied, powerful and perfectly balanced palate. The silky, precise tannins carry a long and vibrant finish with notes of warm stone and noble earth. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels from the château's own cooperage, this 2010 vintage stands out as one of the greatest Smith Haut Lafitte wines, acclaimed by the highest international ratings. A great wine for ageing, deep, elegant and timeless.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
