Source-supplied bottle description

The Château Tayac Margaux is a stylish, modern expression of this famous Bordeaux appellation. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and a dash of Petit Verdot, it shows structure, depth and elegance.
Meet the Producer
Château Tayac has been in the Portet family for generations, with 37 hectares of vineyards located on the gravelly soils around Soussans in Margaux. This terroir, combined with careful vineyard management and traditional winemaking, allows the estate to craft wines that are both classic in style and accessible in their youth.
Production
Fermentation takes place in a combination of cement and stainless steel tanks to preserve fruit purity and structure. The wine is then aged for 10–12 months in French oak barrels, 35% of which are new, adding complexity and subtle mocha notes.
Tasting Notes
Bright, dense fruit aromas of blackberry and cassis dominate, complemented by integrated oak that brings a touch of mocha on the finish. Stylish and polished, this wine will reward further ageing, gaining more depth and elegance with time in bottle. Food Match Perfect alongside roast lamb cooked pink with fresh herbs, or a rare sirloin steak. Grape Varieties Cabernet Sauvignon 55%, Merlot 40%, Petit Verdot 5%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
