Produced from the historic vineyards of the Piccini estate, in the heart of the Tuscan hills of Castelnuovo Berardenga, this Chianti Classico DOCG exemplifies the expertise and philosophy of the Fattoria di Valiano. As the first estate established by Piccini, and now entirely organically farmed, Valiano produces fresh and elegant wines with the utmost respect for the environment. This is evident in this blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, with enveloping aromas of violets and wild berries, notes of red cherry and rose, enhanced by a hint of citrus and spices. Full-bodied and well-balanced on the palate, supported by a velvety tannic structure, Valiano’s Chianti Classico lingers into a smooth finish, underpinned by fruity notes and slightly firmer tannins. A lovely, fluid and versatile wine, perfect for enjoying with a platter of antipasti, a selection of cured meats and mature cheeses, or a hearty pasta dish.
