The description below is the retailer’s own wording.
Produced by the winegrowers of the Siena region, in the heart of Chianti Classico, Geografico’s Chianti showcases the excellence of the Tuscan terroir. Made primarily from Sangiovese grapes – a famous local grape variety grown on soil composed of clay and pebbles – this Chianti DOCG also includes a hint of Merlot. Fermented in stainless steel, beneath its brilliant ruby colour lies a rich bouquet of black cherry and raspberry, enhanced by a hint of violet. On the palate, it is well-structured, with medium body and lively acidity, giving it a lovely freshness. The finish is long and lingering, characterised by a smoky note and a pleasant earthy undertone. It pairs beautifully with a traditional Tuscan dish, pasta with tomato sauce or roast chicken.
