The 2023 Les Granges comes from sandy alluvial soils close to the Vienne, and was vinified in stainless steel before moving into concrete. It largely remained in cuve at the time of my visit, but this is a tasting from a small-volume early bottling. It has a beautiful colour in the glass, concentrated and vibrant, which had me checking the vintage. A classically poised nose, filled with warm, dark but fresh fruit, cherry stone, blackcurrant and blackberry. The palate takes this and adds a more floral edge, producing a charming and lightly textured style, fresh with just the barest touch of tannin. Fine grained and absolutely joyous. Drink now. The alcohol on the label is 12%.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
