The Fernando de Castilla Classic Cream NV is a luscious, solera-aged sweet Sherry from Jerez de la Frontera. Rich and harmonious, it combines nutty, dried fruit aromas with a soft, rounded palate and a long, elegant finish.
Meet the Producer
Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla is based in the historic centre of Jerez. Founded by the aristocratic Andrada-Vanderwilde family, the winery has a long tradition of crafting premium, solera-aged Sherries. Known for their attention to detail and traditional methods, the bodega produces wines that are expressive, refined, and full of character.
Production
Made from Oloroso aged for 6 years, this classic Cream is finished with 20% young Pedro Ximénez (PX) before bottling. The wines are bottled without blending, cold stabilization or filtration to preserve the subtle aromas and purity of each solera. Clear glass bottles highlight the wine’s rich amber colour.
Tasting Notes
Rich amber in colour, with aromas of dried fruits, nuts, and a light Christmas pudding character. The palate is concentrated yet balanced, with soft sweetness harmonising with tangy acidity, creating a creamy, elegant finish. Food Match Ideal with Christmas cake, pudding-style desserts, or other rich festive sweets. Grape Varieties Oloroso 80%, Pedro Ximénez 20%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
