Sylvain and Kim Destrieux are the owners of Clos De La Molénie, a biodynamic estate located in Ruch in the south of the Dordogne. The vines are 35 years old and grow in clay-limestone soil. The Clos de la Molénie red is vinified by pumping over in stainless steel vats and is then aged in terracotta amphoras, giving way to an elegant, fruity wine with a long finish. Its colour is ruby with purple reflections. Its nose is intense, of forest fruits (blackberries, raspberries) with notes of fresh almonds. On the palate there is a frank and greedy attack on ripe fruit, accompanied by a beautiful freshness and chalky tannins. Nice salty and smooth length. An excellent wine for tapas, it will also be unanimously appreciated with more elaborate dishes.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
