Founded in 1893, Maison Delaunay quickly became one of Burgundy’s most respected names — even acting as distributor for domaines like DRC and exclusively for La Romanée up until the 1940s. After the name was sold in the 1990s, the story came full circle in 2017 when fifth-generation winemaker Laurent Delaunay bought it back, along with the winery and cellars beside the family home, Château de Chaumont. Laurent and his wife Catherine have since secured some brilliant vineyard parcels across the Côte d’Or, from Petit-Vougeots all the way to Griotte-Chambertin. Today, the range spans everything from humble yet characterful Aligoté to serious Grand Cru, and the wines have earned consistent praise from critics and our own Club Members alike. With strong vineyard sources and a clear focus on quality, Maison Delaunay has firmly reclaimed its place as one of Burgundy’s standout producers.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
