Read the retailer’s description
The description below is the retailer’s own wording.
As part of the Côte-Rôtie AOC, the inclusion of Viognier is permitted in red wines, with a proportion of up to 20 per cent. For this cuvée from the small but no less exceptional Guy Bernard estate, the blend comprises 6 per cent of this white grape variety. Well-known amongst connoisseurs of lesser-known wines, Guy Bernard’s cuvées are beautifully vinified, with just the right amount of new oak – in this case 20 per cent – so that the oaky notes and spices subtly envelop the velvety texture of the dark berries. An exceptional wine with great depth, perfectly balanced, which can be aged for over a decade!
