The description below is the retailer’s own wording.

The Côteau de Noiré 2023 is one of Chinon’s finest wines, a Cabernet Franc of rare depth. Grown on the iconic limestone terroir of Noiré, this vintage reveals a rich bouquet of blackberry, black cherry, roasted pepper, graphite and smoky notes, heralding a dense, structured palate of remarkable precision. Twenty-four months’ ageing in concrete vats and 500-litre barrels lends the tannins a mineral vigour and impressive length. A Chinon with ageing potential, powerful yet refined, destined for superb development. Sublime with a rack of lamb, roast pigeon or a slow-cooked dish.
