The Cucuniano cuvée takes its name from the historic village where it is produced, in the heart of the Corbières massif, nestled between a Natura 2000 site and five nature reserves. The wine is made from Syrah, Grenache and Carignan grape varieties, grown at an altitude of 450 metres using organic farming and agroforestry methods, and currently undergoing biodynamic certification on clay-limestone mountain slopes. Forty per cent of the grapes are vinified as whole bunches, using only natural (indigenous) yeasts and employing a slow, gentle extraction process that best preserves the quality of the grapes. The wine is then aged for nine months in 500-litre barrels, lending suppleness and elegance to the tannins without masking the fruit. On the palate, Cucuniano stands out for its refined and elegant structure. It offers lovely volume, fruit and roundness. The finish is lingering, with slightly toasty notes.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
