Source-supplied bottle description

Retained as supporting identification copy; the structured facts and evidence links above are kept separate.

Hailing from the prestigious hills of the Langhe, in the heart of Piedmont, Giovanni Sordo’s Dolcetto d’Alba embodies the authentic expression of a terroir rich in calcareous marl and minerals, ideal for bringing out the full character of the Dolcetto grape. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red colour with purple highlights. The nose opens with delicious aromas of ripe red fruits — black cherry, blackberry and blueberry — accompanied by delicate floral notes of violet and a slight hint of spice. The palate is supple and harmonious, with lovely freshness and well-integrated tannins that provide structure without harshness. The overall profile is balanced, at once fruity and elegant, true to the style of Dolcetto d’Alba, renowned for its dry, slightly bitter and approachable character.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
