Bella Elegance Tinto is a single-varietal wine from Quinta de Bella, crafted to showcase the purity of its fruit and the distinctive character of the Dão region. The estate’s 50 hectares are planted at high density on gentle hills of granite sandy soils, known locally as “rotten granite” or “noble granite.” A continental-influenced climate and proximity to the Dão River contribute to the wine’s freshness, concentration, and minerality, while completely dry-farmed, sustainable viticulture ensures that every grape reflects the terroir.
Production
The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted before destemming and crushing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine then matures for 24 months in very used 225-litre French oak barrels, with an additional 3–4 years of bottle ageing prior to release. This careful process produces wines with concentrated aromas, texture, and notable ageing potential.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in colour, Bella Elegance Tinto offers pronounced aromas of dark, matured fruits, with hints of tar and leather. The palate is full-bodied, supported by chewy tannins and refreshing acidity, culminating in a long, savoury finish.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
