The Domaine Berthelemot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne is an elegant, organic white Burgundy, brimming with minerality, delicate floral notes, and pure, refined fruit. Structured and precise, it combines steely acidity with subtle richness for a long, graceful finish.
Meet the Producer
Domaine Berthelemot, founded in 2006, is a young and dynamic Burgundian estate formed from the merging of mature holdings in the Côte de Beaune. The domaine focuses on organic viticulture and meticulous winemaking, producing whites and reds that showcase the purity and character of their Premier Cru vineyards.
Production
The La Garenne vineyard, situated high on the slope of Puligny-Montrachet, has thin, stony soils over limestone bedrock, giving the wines a tight, mineral-driven style. Grapes are hand-harvested and double-sorted in the vineyard and winery. Juice is gently pressed and fermented slowly with neutral yeasts, followed by lees bâtonnage until July. Whites are aged in oak barrels, 25% new, in temperature-controlled cellars, ensuring elegance and balance.
Tasting Notes
Delicate floral aromas lead to a palate of clean, pure fruit with a structured backbone. The steely acidity is softened by malolactic fermentation, resulting in a harmonious, refined wine with a long, mineral finish. Food Match Decant to enjoy fully, then serve with grilled langoustines, seafood platters, or delicate fish dishes to highlight its elegance. Grape Varieties Chardonnay 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
