Perriere's calcium-rich terroir steers the wine in a delicate direction. It often boasts a chalky minerality and a structure that requires a bit of patience, but with time, depth and finesse are revealed. This intriguing wine has been made as kosher wine for several vintages, so it has not been as widely known as some. The 2023 is lovely, with bright cherry fruit and hints of violets and liquorice. The texture is fresh and lively, but there is a richness that augurs well for ageing. The grapes are from 0.6ha near the top of the slope at the same elevation as Marconnets. The vines average 85 years of age, and the wine ends up being about one-third whole cluster.Barrel Sample: 92 Attractive but not too deep in colour. More floral, then juicy riper red fruit, strawberry and raspberry, just enough acidity. Medium length. One third whole bunches. Drink from 2028-2034. Tasted Oct 2024.Barrel Sample: 89-91
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
