Domaine des Tourelles Vieilles Vignes Cinsault is a supple, elegant red from 50-year-old vines in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, offering ripe red fruit, fig, and star anise spice with a pure, clean finish.

Meet the Producer

Domaine des Tourelles, founded in 1868 by French adventurer François-Eugène Brun, is one of Lebanon’s most historic and respected wineries. The estate is known for reviving old vine varieties and producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Bekaa Valley.

Production

Cinsault vines, long overlooked in favor of newer imports, were revived from 50-year-old blocks in the Western Bekaa. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats for ten days. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurs naturally. The wine is then aged for 1 year in concrete and a further 6 months in used French oak barrels, resulting in a supple, terroir-driven expression.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of ripe fig, red cherry, plum, and star anise spice. The palate reveals ripe red fruit, fig, and spice, balanced by bright acidity and fine tannins, finishing pure and clean. Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
