Domaine du Pré Semelé Sancerre, Mainbré is an expressive and impeccably balanced organic Sauvignon Blanc from the heart of the Loire Valley, showcasing the purity and mineral precision that define great Sancerre.

Meet the Producer

Brothers Julien and Clément Raimbault have elevated Domaine du Pré Semelé into one of the most exciting modern estates in Sancerre. Having inherited the domaine from their father Rémy, they now manage 20 hectares of organically farmed vines spread over 60 parcels near Maimbray. Their philosophy combines respect for nature with precise, contemporary winemaking to produce wines of depth, elegance, and terroir expression.

Production

The vineyard holdings are planted predominantly to Sauvignon Blanc on a mix of classic terres blanches clay-chalk soils, which provide richness and texture, and caillottes , a stony limestone soil lending freshness and finesse. Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve their bright aromatics. The wine is then aged on fine lees for ten months to build texture and complexity while maintaining a clean, mineral profile.

Tasting Notes

Crisp and aromatic, this Sancerre bursts with zesty grapefruit, lime, and green apple notes, balanced by subtle herbaceous nuances and a touch of white flowers. The palate is vivid and focused, with mouthwatering acidity and a saline mineral edge leading to a long, precise finish. Food Match Perfect with shellfish, grilled fish, white meats, or fresh goat’s cheese. Also pairs beautifully with salads and light vegetarian dishes. Grape Sauvignon Blanc 100%

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
