The description below is the retailer’s own wording.

A subtle blend of century-old Grenache vines, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault from the estate's finest terroirs.A unique, silky and opulent wine that clearly expresses its distinctive qualities. It also shows great class thank to its deep color, floral bouquet, freshness, cocoa flavors and delicate aftertaste. Round and broad, with a seductive fruit profile underscored by a savory jolt of salty mineral, warm earth, singed anise and wild herbs for contrast. Starts off smooth in feel, but fined-grained tannins move in for the focused finish. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault and Vaccarèse. Drink now through 2040. A perfumed, ambitious bouquet of red berries, dark wild berries, peonies, cassis and flowers introduces the 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Julien Barrot, a medium- to full-bodied, sappy and layered wine with a fleshy core of fruit enhanced by a tensile profile framed by velvety tannins and concluding with a long, ethereal and floral finish. A blend of 61% Grenache Noir, 11% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre, 7% Counoise, 5% Cinsault and 1% Clairette Rose, it was partially destemmed and matured for 18 months in a combination of foudres (62%), large barrels (33%) and concrete tanks (5%). This is a superb effort and a graceful wine that should improve with time in the cellar.Rating: 93+ Rocking levels of kirsch, blackberries, spring flowers, violets, and ample peppery, sappy garrigue nuances all define the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Julien Barrot. It's medium to full-bodied, with the estate's fresher, focused style, beautifully integrated acidity, and ripe yet fine and firmer tannins. Drink 2025-2035.
