A wine with a sustained color. Lively fruitiness associated with fine licorice and plant notes underlines a wine with a linear structure that expresses harshness and freshness with an austere note. A rich imperial purple, this looks good and the nose suggests even better. Dark raspberry with crunchy cherry, a lick of balanced oak, very sinuous over the palate yet still a fresh finish. An excellent mix of ripeness and precision. Drink from 2029-2036.Barrel Sample: 92-95 The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Roncières 1er Cru, hit by hail in June, has a bright bouquet with black cherries, iodine and light violet aromas, taking a little time to cohere in the glass. The palate is very fine with silky smooth tannins, impressive depth, a caressing texture and more mineralité on the finish compared to the Bousselottes. Obviously, the hail had no impact here! Superb.Barrel Sample: 93-95 Chevillon's 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Roncières offers up aromas of cherries and raspberries mingled with peony and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, textural and succulent, with a creamy core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins, it's a charming, gourmand wine that will offer a broad drinking window.Barrel Sample: 91-93
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
