Source-supplied bottle description

100% Sciaccarellu. A single site at 270m altitude. Southeast facing. Terroir of rolled pebbles. Planted in 1953. De-stemmed. Indigenous yeast. Aged in large older 2500L barrels for 18 months. Unfined an unfiltered. Pure Sciacarellu, the 2022 Corse Cantinone is a wine of great class, with a luminous, brilliant ruby color. The nose has character, but it's really harmony and finesse that characterize it. Offering notes of tangy red fruit, evoking plum and blackcurrant as well as native maquis herbs, the texture on the palate is immense, full, broad, and incomparably silky. It's really the aging that magnifies this wine. Rating: 96+

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
