Meet the Producer
Barbanera SRL is based at the foot of Mount Cetona in Tuscany, a region famed for its exceptional grapes. The estate combines traditional Tuscan winemaking with modern techniques, guided by a passion for quality, innovation, and heritage.
Production
Grapes are harvested when around 80% ripeness is achieved, then undergo a 2–3 week drying process at 16°C to concentrate sugars and acids. After destalking, cold maceration occurs at 0–4°C for 4–6 days, followed by fermentation in steel tanks and concrete vats at controlled temperatures up to 24°C. Portions of dried grapes are reintegrated post-fermentation to enhance structure and complexity. The wine is then aged in old barrels before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Deep dark red with purple hues, the nose shows cherries, black cherries, and a complex bouquet of sweet spices and vanilla. The palate is velvety, soft, and elegant, with smooth, structured tannins and a harmonious finish. Food match Ideal with roasted meats, Sunday roasts, and hearty Italian dishes. Grape Sangiovese 60%, Merlot 20%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
