Drink it now or cellar for up to 25 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Located in Basilicata, the Elena Fucci winery was founded in the early 2000s, when Elena decided to reuse the vineyards purchased by her grandfather in the 1960s on the slopes of Mount Vulture. In the vineyards, they work with traditional and sustainable techniques, while in the cellar, the approach is modern, respecting the terroir, the grape variety, and the winemaking tradition of this small region of southern Italy. Aglianico grapes are hand-picked and selected from the oldest parcel of the Titolo vineyard, located at the foot of Mount Vulture in the village of Barile. Here, the unique microclimate and volcanic soils guarantee the production of wines of great character. After harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and the finished wine then ages for two years in new 500-liter tonneaux, followed by another 12 months in bottle. In the glass, Elena Fucci's Aglianico del Vulture Titolo Superiore Riserva reveals a broad aromatic profile with typical dark fruit aromas and a distinctive minerality. On the palate, it is elegant and powerful, with a well-defined structure and firm tannins. It is an intense and taut wine, with a pleasant, refreshing acidity and a long finish with mineral notes returning. Enjoy it with a rich wild boar or venison stew.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
