Emiliana Orange Wine is a distinctive and approachable orange wine made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Casablanca Valley in Chile. Fermented on skins, it delivers a rich, textural experience while retaining the bright, fresh characteristics typical of the Casablanca terroir. This accessible orange wine combines the complexity of skin contact with subtle fruit-driven freshness, making it a versatile choice for adventurous wine drinkers and food pairings.
Meet the Producer
Emiliana is one of Chile's leading pioneers in organic and biodynamic winemaking. Since 1998, the winery has produced expressive, terroir-driven wines using sustainable and environmentally conscious methods.
Production
The grapes are sourced from Casablanca Valley vineyards, heavily influenced by the Pacific Ocean and the Humboldt Current, with average temperatures of 25°C in summer and 14°C in winter. Grapes are destemmed, crushed, and left with their skins for fermentation in concrete tanks at around 18°C. Soft punch downs ensure gentle extraction, and after fermentation, the wine is aged in concrete eggs for five months with the skins before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of ripe stone fruits, figs, and dried apricot lead to a warm, sandy, textural palate. The wine shows characteristic richness of a hot, dry country, balanced with a fresh, approachable finish. Food Match Pairs beautifully with cheeses and charcuterie, as well as white meats and fish, making it a highly versatile and food-friendly wine. Grape Varieties Sauvignon Blanc 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
