Deep, intense purple-red color, with violet hues. Aromas of dark fruits such as fresh blueberries and currants combine with floral notes of lavender, alongside spicy hints of incense and pink pepper. In the palate, intense flavors of ripe fruit, such as red cherries and blueberries, are accompanied by spicy notes. With excellent length and balance, it shows good acidity that contributes to its high juiciness. The chalky tannins result in a wine with good grip and persistence on the palate. The 2024 Las Pizarras Syrah is a stunning wine; it is visceral and vivid, with a floral, fruit-driven profile rather than a savory one, capturing the minimalist, stark purity that this vintage, at least at this early stage, routinely delivers. It is dense and refreshing on the palate, with excellent acidity and a tensile, balletic mouthfeel that combines genuine richness with impeccable finesse, culminating in a perfumed, chalky, mineral-driven finish. With additional aeration, the wine continues to develop, further enhancing its flawless purity and striking character. I found all three of the Las Pizarras bottlings to reach another level this harvest, but this wine most of all. The 2024 Syrah Las Pizarras from Aconcagua Costa delivers striking aromatic purity with violet, blackberry, lavender and raspberry, lifted by a subtle touch of oak and a hint of bacon. The expression is remarkably pure. On the palate, it is slender and silky with a gentle grip and a lingering floral imprint. Its combination of delicacy and energy gives it a distinctive coastal personality marked by floral depth. Lovely floral nose of cassis, violets, lavender, black cherries, blackberries and a touch of lard. Attractively restrained, with a medium to full body, juicy fruit and fine, caressing tannins. Drink now or hold.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
