Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years. Serve chilled. The historic Estate Argyros was founded back in 1903 by Georgios Argyros and today it remains in the capable hands of the third and fourth generations of the family. In total the property has 65 hectares of land which are dedicated to local grape varieties of Santorini like Assyrtiko, Athiri, Aidani, Mandilaria, and Mavrathiro. Some of the vineyards even date back over 150 years, making them amongst the oldest on the island. Their stunning Atlantic white is a blend of Assyrtiko, Athiri and Aidani grapes which come from 60 year old or younger vines. Once in the winery the fruit is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve plenty of delicate aromatics and freshness in the finished wine. Bursting with zesty lemon, grapefruit and some saline mineral notes, this youthful white is an ideal choice to serve as an elegant aperitif. On the palate expect plenty of uplifting freshness, citrus notes, and a pure, clean finish which helps to refresh and cleanse after seafood or fish dishes. Try pairing with lighter dishes such as sushi, leafy summer salads, grilled chicken, risottos and creamy cheeses for the best results.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
