Giovanni Rosso's Etna Bianco comes from the north/north-eastern slopes of the volcano at high altitude (730750 m). Made predominantly from Carricante, supplemented by small amounts of indigenous grape varieties, it fully expresses the freshness of Etna's volcanic terroirs. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures with a short skin contact period, to preserve the purity of the fruit. Ageing on lees for around 5 months adds texture and depth without masking the wine's natural tension. The nose reveals aromas of citrus, yellow fruits and a delicate herbaceous note. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet very linear, driven by great freshness and lovely minerality. The finish reveals notes of fresh lemon and crushed stone. It is a precise and energetic white, which accurately reflects the volcanic identity of the terroir.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
