Ferghettina Brut NV is a soft, elegant, and approachable sparkling wine from the renowned Franciacorta region in northern Italy. This core cuvée combines freshness with subtle complexity, offering delicate floral notes, hints of hazelnut, and bright citrus and golden apple characters. With 30 months on the lees, it displays a fine, persistent mousse and balanced texture, making it perfect for both casual enjoyment and refined occasions.
Meet the Producer
Italian sparkling wine is not all about Prosecco. The Gatti family of Ferghettina have established themselves as a leading producer in Franciacorta, managing 120 hectares of vineyards across six communes and producing wines with precision, elegance, and consistency.
Production
Grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at 16–18°C with selected yeasts. Tirage occurs the following spring, followed by 30 months ageing on the lees to develop depth and complexity. At disgorgement, 7 g/l of sugar is added to balance the wine’s natural acidity and finesse.
Tasting Notes
An exuberant and lively style, showcasing fresh citrus, golden apple, and white flower aromas. The palate is gentle yet incisive, with a fine, persistent mousse and a clean, elegant finish. Food Match Ideal as an aperitif, or with light starters and mains such as shellfish, cold cuts, and soft cheeses. Grape Varieties Chardonnay 85%, Pinot Nero 15%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
