Ferghettina Rosé Brut is an elegant and refined sparkling wine from Italy’s acclaimed Franciacorta region. Crafted with meticulous care, it shows a soft, rounded character with delicate berry notes, a creamy texture, and refined complexity from extended lees ageing. This pale, graceful rosé highlights both finesse and purity, making it an excellent alternative to fine Champagne.
Meet the Producer
Italian sparkling wine is not all about Prosecco. The Gatti family of Ferghettina has become a benchmark in Franciacorta, farming 120 hectares of vineyards across six communes. Their focus on precision and innovation has established them as one of the region’s leading producers.
Production
Sourced from vineyards on the sunlit, rolling hills at the foot of the Alps, the grapes are vinified with great attention to detail. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel at 16–18°C with selected yeasts. The wine gains its delicate pink colour from 12–24 hours of skin contact, with no red wine blending. Secondary fermentation in bottle is followed by 36 months on the lees before release. A dosage of 4 g/l ensures balance and finesse.
Tasting Notes
A pale, delicate pink with aromas of fresh strawberries, redcurrants, and brioche. The palate is rounded and elegant, with sweet berry fruit complemented by subtle savoury notes. A fine, persistent mousse leads to a long, layered finish. Food Match Perfect with shellfish, mozzarella and tomato salads, or an array of dim sum. Grape Varieties Predominantly Chardonnay, with a proportion of Pinot Noir.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
