Victor Manzanos continues the legacy of four generations of winemaking on the border between Rioja and Navarra. With over 250 hectares of vineyards, including some of the oldest vines in Rioja, Bodegas Manzanos is ideally positioned to highlight both Rioja Oriental and the family name. The estate produces a modern interpretation of traditional Rioja, focusing on native grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Viura, and Garnacha. The team is young and dynamic, driven by a passion for crafting wines that are approachable and enjoyable. Viticulture The wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Mazuelo sourced from estates with excellent sun exposure. The soils vary between calcareous clay and ferrous earth, providing complexity and structure to the grapes.
Winemaking
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by twenty-one days of maceration. The wine is then aged for twelve months in a combination of American and French oak barrels, and a further six months in bottle to allow the flavours to integrate and mature. Tasting Note Aromatic and intense, with notes of wild red berries, blossom, nutmeg, and subtle hints of sandalwood. The palate is fresh and fruity, balanced with flavours of raspberry, vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon, making for a harmonious and approachable wine. Food Matching Pairs beautifully with chargrilled meats, cured ham, and a variety of tapas. Technical Details Varieties: Tempranillo 90%, Mazuelo 5%, Garnacha 5% .
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
