The description below is the retailer’s own wording.

To the north of Gevrey-Chambertin, on the south-facing slopes of Fixin, this Pinot Noir draws its identity from a terroir of brown clay soils, which lend it body, depth and fruit expression. Combining Burgundian elegance with a distinct earthy character, it reveals an authentic facet of the Côte de Nuits, where the richness of the fruit blends with a structure full of personality. The nose opens with aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry and red berries, accompanied by darker notes of blackberry and morello cherry as the wine unfolds. A subtle spicy dimension, evoking pepper, woodland undergrowth and earth after rain, enriches the bouquet and lends it complexity. On the palate, the fruit unfolds with frankness and generosity. The body, supported by fine yet present tannins, adds depth without weighing the wine down. Freshness balances the richness of the fruit, whilst a slight mineral undertone and spicy nuances prolong the tasting experience. The finish, persistent and flavourful, leaves an impression of black cherry, sweet spices and terroir.
