Gergenti Organic Frappato Terre Siciliane IGT is a vibrant expression of Sicily’s native Frappato grape, crafted from organically grown vineyards that capture the island’s warm Mediterranean character. This wine embodies the natural charm and freshness of Sicily’s terroir, delivering purity, balance, and aromatic intensity.
Meet the Producer
Gergenti’s organic wines celebrate Sicily’s biodiversity and winemaking heritage. The estate is dedicated to sustainable viticulture, handcrafting wines that express authenticity and respect for the land.
Production
The grapes are hand-picked in early August and undergo a short maceration on the skins for six days to extract colour and delicate tannins. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve freshness and purity of fruit. The wine is then aged briefly in bottle to enhance harmony and roundness.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant ruby red in colour, this Frappato reveals fragrant aromas of red berries, blueberries, and wild strawberries. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, with a smooth, harmonious texture and a lively freshness that lingers pleasantly. Food match Perfect as an aperitif or with light dishes such as grilled vegetables, white meats, soft cheeses, or delicate starters. Grape Frappato 100% (Organic)
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
