Grown on terraces of red clay interspersed with limestone gravel in the heart of Gigondas, this 2023 vintage perfectly expresses the richness of its terroir.
The Blend
, dominated by Grenache and complemented by Syrah and Cinsault, offers a combination of richness, structure and aromatic finesse. The winemaking process, characterised by a long vatting period with racking and punching down, gently extracts body and complexity, whilst ageing in vats preserves the purity of the fruit and the wine's identity. The bouquet reveals a beautiful intensity of red and black fruits, enriched with floral notes of peony, sweet spices, cocoa, liquorice and a subtle hint of cigar. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, dense and lively, carried by fine, silky tannins that give structure to the whole without ever weighing it down. The long, lingering finish prolongs the aromas against a spicy and fruity backdrop, offering a remarkable balance between power and elegance.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
