A benchmark example of a traditional French dessert wine, this luscious and elegant sweet white from the Graves district of Bordeaux showcases the complexity and richness that noble rot can bring. Beautifully honeyed and floral, it balances sweetness with freshness, making it both indulgent and refined.
Meet the Producer
For over a decade, Boutinot has partnered with leading Bordeaux négociant Ginestet to craft high-quality wines that express the character of Bordeaux’s finest appellations.
Production
The grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Graves district, where noble rot (botrytis) is encouraged to naturally concentrate sugars and flavours. Hand-harvested late in the vintage, the fruit is carefully selected through multiple passes in the vineyard to ensure only the best botrytised grapes are picked. Gentle pressing preserves the delicate flavours and floral aromatics.
Tasting Notes
A classic botrytis character on the nose: richly floral, honeyed, and lifted with hints of saffron. The palate is smooth and opulent, with notes of barley sugar, honeysuckle, and bittersweet mandarin, finishing with a lingering freshness. Food Match Serve well-chilled with fruit- or cream-based desserts. A superb partner to blue cheeses such as Roquefort or Stilton. Grape Varieties Sémillon 75%, Sauvignon Blanc 20%, Muscadelle 5%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
