The Crausot 1er Cru is situated on the heights of Givry, on a south-east facing limestone hillside. It is a terroir of stone and light, producing wines that are both refined and dynamic, with beautiful aromatic intensity and an elegant structure. Under the meticulous and sensitive guidance of François Lumpp, this vineyard reveals its full potential in the 2024 vintage, characterised by vibrant fruit and perfectly controlled ripeness. The brilliant ruby colour catches the eye. The nose opens with aromas of fresh red fruits (cherry, raspberry, redcurrant), peony and subtle spicy and smoky notes. On the palate, the wine charms with its velvety texture, fine, supple tannins and a delicate freshness that lengthens the finish. The balance between energy and softness, fruit and minerality, results in a wine that is both charming and precise. The ageing process, carried out with the estate's customary care, highlights the fruit without ever overpowering it: subtle oak and precise craftsmanship, resulting in a wine that exudes perfection. This Givry 1er Cru Crausot 2024 thus combines richness, structure and finesse in a harmonious and elegant whole. Already delicious when young after a brief decanting, it will gain depth with 5 to 10 years' ageing. It will pair perfectly with duck breast, veal fillet, mushroom risotto or roast free-range poultry.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
