Source-supplied bottle description

Glenelly’s flagship estate wine, a Bordeaux-style red blend from Stellenbosch. Composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, it reveals rich dark berry aromas with hints of mocha and cedar. The palate offers sweet fruit flavours, smooth tannins, and a long, refined finish, reflecting the elegance and purity of the vintage.
Vineyard & Terroir
Sourced from Glenelly’s estate vineyards on the Simonsberg, Stellenbosch. Cold, wet winters replenished soil moisture, while a cooler growing season and extended ripening period contributed to the wine’s finesse.
Winemaking
Hand-picked grapes lightly crushed and naturally fermented in stainless steel. Post-fermentation skin contact lasted 2–3 weeks. Individual components matured in new French oak barrels (30–40% first fill), then blended and aged an additional 12 months in 75% first-fill barrels.
Tasting Notes
Rich dark berries, mocha, cedar, smooth tannins, sweet fruit, long refined finish.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with fine cuts of red meat, braised dishes, and mature cheeses.

Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
