Gustave Lorentz Crustacés Pinot Blanc is crafted in the heart of Alsace, from hillside vineyards around the village of Bergheim.

The Blend

typically includes 70% Pinot Auxerrois and 30% Pinot Blanc , grown on heavy clay and limestone soils that contribute to its balanced structure and subtle minerality. It’s designed as a versatile, seafood-loving white—hence the name “L’ami des Crustacés,” or “friend of shellfish.” Meet the producer Gustave Lorentz is a family-owned estate with roots in Alsace dating back to 1836. Known for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking, the winery produces expressive, terroir-driven wines that reflect the region’s cool climate and diverse soils.

Production

Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed. The juice undergoes 12 to 24 hours of settling (débourbage) before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for 2 to 3 years to develop complexity while retaining freshness.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
