Half Bottle - An iconic blend of the Côte Blonde and Côte Brune terroirs, this cuvée expresses all the nobility of Côte-Rôtie. Made from vines around 25 years old planted on schist and iron oxide-rich soils, the wine combines finesse, mineral tension and depth. Hand-picked grapes and careful vinification in stainless steel vats preserve purity and elegance. Ambitious ageing for 36 months in barrels (50% of which are new) brings structure and complexity. The nose reveals blackberry, violet, pepper and subtle smoky notes. The palate is full-bodied and racy, with silky tannins and a long, spicy finish. A great wine for ageing, showcasing Guigal's expertise.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
