Source-supplied bottle description

A blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, predominantly Chardonnay, Contadi Castaldi's Franciacorta Brùt DOCG stands out for its velvety texture and roundness, balanced by a lively, fresh and crisp palate. Prised for its consistency and quality, this cuvée undergoes an initial ageing period of 7 months in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, before undergoing a second fermentation in the bottle for 20 to 26 months on the lees (and a few additional months after disgorgement). Characteristic of the style of Contadi Castaldi – an accessible, trendy and modern Franciacorta producer – the Brùt offers a fragrant nose upon opening, with floral nuances, notes of lime and citrus, white peach and green pepper. On the palate, it is crisp and fresh, retaining its fruity character with a lively acidity and a hint of salinity. With a moderate dosage (6g/L of residual sugar), Contadi Castaldi's Brùt is an elegant, festive and versatile sparkling wine!

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
