Appearance: deep and dense red with crimson hues Aroma: the glass fills with aromas of red and blue berries, blackcurrants, with mocha nuances. There are seductive spicy and dusty overtones from the oak, and a subtle sage base note, that tells you it is from Margaret River. The depth and dimension to these aromas suggest that this is something serious, and long living. Sophisticated and seductive now, and it will only get better. Palate: - the fruit notes of the nose carry through to the palate, with beautifully textural proportion. A lush mid-palate, full of mulberries and black currants, progresses with fantastic length, and finishes with abundant fine grained tannins, and heady retro-nasal floral aromatics. The fine grained French oak contributes some spicy and nutty notes, and keeps to keep the concentrated fruit flavours defined. This is a stunningly complex, and engaging wine. In some ways brooding and introspective, and in others bursting with vibrance, aromatics, and fruit flavours -- the rare combination of a wine that drinks beautifully now, and will age for over a decade with ease.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
