Meet the Producer

When it comes to English wine there’s a lot to shout about, not least the stunning sparkling wines from Henners. Based in East Sussex, the estate takes full advantage of England’s cool climate and chalky soils to craft world-class fizz with character and precision.

Production

Henners Brut NV is produced using the traditional method from the three classic sparkling varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Grapes are grown on both Henners’ own clay soils and neighbouring growers’ chalk soils, which complement one another in generosity and finesse. Each year, small proportions of reserve wine are blended in to add depth and structure. The wine spends 3 years ageing on lees before release, bringing richness and complexity.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of sourdough and crunchy green apple lead to a fine palate with lively, persistent mousse. Crisp orchard fruit flavours of green apple and pear mingle with toasty brioche notes, giving a complex, moreish character. Balanced acidity carries through to a long, elegant finish. Food Match Perfect as an aperitif or celebration wine.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
