Source-supplied bottle description

Retained as supporting identification copy; the structured facts and evidence links above are kept separate.

As usual MV is 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, all from grand cru vineyards – fermented in oak from the nearby Argonne forest, which is a signature of the maison. The base wine from the 2020 vintage is blended with one third reserve wine from Giraud’s réserve perpétuelle, a solera which began in 1990. Jancis Robinson compared a previous vintage to “ A sort of Montrachet of Champagne! ” whilst Galloni said they are “ Some of the most unique, individualistic wines in Champagne… At their best, the Giraud Champagnes offer incredible intensity, class and balance. ” Meanwhile Robert Parker famously claimed, “ This is the way I think Krug SHOULD taste ”.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
