Source-supplied bottle description

In order to preserve the tradition and heritage of the old Zinfandel vineyards, young vines were grafted onto phylloxera-resistant rootstock in 1982. The result is a "young vine" wine with "old vine" Zinfandel characteristics, recalling a heritage from the turn of the century. This 2022 vintage has seductive aromas of black cherry, boysenberry and plum with hints of warm spice, mocha and white pepper. On the palate, flavours of bramble and black berries emerge. The wine is complex, with lively acidity complemented by deeper notes of cedar, fine leather and dark brown sugar. This remarkable wine offers refreshing acidity combined with excellent structure.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
