The 2020 Chardonnay Home is perhaps not one for the conventional Chardonnay drinker who wants their classically styled Burgundian expression, but more for the organic Chenin lover. Made with a delicate hand, this organic, low-intervention wine (no yeast added, no fining, no filtration) provides a more artisanal interpretation of the variety, featuring gentle, ripe apple and melon flavors. Despite the barrel fermentation and maturation, the wood is a nutty background note. This has excellent weight and depth on the midpalate, reflecting the low yields on the clay-based, 5-hectare vineyard. Its texture really lures you in over the course of a glass. Enjoy now to six years.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
