The Isabel Estate Sauvignon Blanc reflects a long-standing dedication to producing wines that express the pure varietal character of Marlborough. Each wine is crafted with precision and care, underpinned by sustainable viticulture practices, to capture the essence of the region. Variety and Vineyard 100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from the Craig Lockhart Vineyard, Char Valley Vineyard, and Isabel Estate in Marlborough. Vintage Conditions The 2024 Marlborough vintage was marked by excellent quality and smaller yields. A dry, warm season encouraged rich, concentrated fruit development, while cooler weather during flowering moderated the harvest. Dry conditions later in the season helped minimize disease, allowing grapes to fully ripen and achieve optimal flavour concentration.

Winemaking

Grapes were harvested in the cool early mornings to preserve freshness and purity. A short period of skin contact prior to pressing maximised flavour extraction. After cold settling, fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to maintain vibrancy. Select parcels from the best of the region’s vineyards were blended to create a wine that truly represents Marlborough’s finest qualities.

Tasting Notes

The wine displays expressive aromas of passionfruit, blackcurrant leaf, and grapefruit. The palate is textured and layered, underpinned by citrus flavours, crushed herbs, and a subtle mineral edge. It is fresh, vibrant, and well-balanced with a persistent finish. Cellaring Potential Recommended to enjoy on release, though it can be cellared for 2–3 years.

Food Pairing

Perfect with freshly shucked oysters, or lobster served with a rich garlic butter sauce. Accolades Gold Medal – NZ International Wine Show 2024 Gold Medal – Marlborough Wine Show 2024

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
