La Salvación perfectly encapsulates the desire to revive Godello grapes, which had been neglected in the vineyards in favour of Mencía. La Salvación 2021 comes from a single plot in Arganza, a village situated in the cooler northern part of the region. The vineyard, which is around 110 years old, is the largest of the old Godello vineyards in El Bierzo. This 100% Godello is expressive with an explosive nose. It was fermented in 500-litre oak barrels, where it matured on its lees until the following harvest. A sommelier’s wine, produced in a limited run of just 1,800 bottles – it would be a shame not to try it!
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
