Source-supplied bottle description

Produced from the prestigious Gimblett Gravels vineyards in Hawke’s Bay, this exceptional wine hails from a remarkable vintage, characterised by ideal ripening conditions and low yields, which fostered perfect concentration in the grapes. On the nose, there is an intense bouquet of ripe black fruits, dominated by notes of blackberry and blueberry. On the palate, one is struck by a silky texture and a tannic structure of great finesse, offering a balance between power, elegance and freshness. Aged for 17 months in French and Austrian oak barrels, it reveals a refined complexity whilst remaining surprisingly approachable in its youth. A true benchmark for New Zealand Syrah, Le Sol is a wine of character, capable of delivering immense pleasure right now whilst promising superb development in the cellar over the years.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
