The style of Fabien Jouves' wines, and in particular the single-vineyard cuvées from Mas del Périé, ranks among the most captivating in the Cahors appellation. The Les Escures' cuvée, delightfully easy to drink, is made from 25-year-old Malbec vines planted on Kimmeridgian limestone soils. The must is macerated and then aged for six months in concrete vats, which gives the wine its lightness and fruitiness. This cuvée, a faithful expression of its terroir, embodies a modern Cahors, both indulgent and approachable even in its youth.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
